Patching Day Ceremony Booklet
A 16-page informational guide created to welcome families and celebrate their Soldier’s return from training.
The Patching Ceremony marks a significant milestone for new Soldiers as they receive their official unit patch. I was tasked with designing a comprehensive, family-friendly booklet to support the event—offering guidance on the ceremony and insights into the Soldier’s journey ahead.
With just two and a half weeks from concept to completion, I focused on:
-
Organizing complex military information into a clear, accessible format
-
Designing original graphics and building unit logos from scratch
-
Collaborating with teams to ensure accuracy and emotional resonance
-
Highlighting the human connection between Soldiers, families, and Iowa communities
This project not only provided a practical resource for families—it also helped reinforce the Guard’s commitment to transparency, support, and community connection.
